It’s 2016 and I’m walking the Camino this year! “What? Again?” I hear you say… but there is a reason.

From Mountain Borders to the End of Land
In 2014, I planned to walk from St Jean to Finisterre but at the last moment both these plans changed and I instead chose to walk Roncesvalles to Santiago.
In 2015, I returned to conquer the first stage, over the Pyrenees. I loved my mini spring camino and didn’t want it to end but I only had just over a week and so this ended at Santo Domingo del Calzade.
In 2016, I feel I need to return and walk what i originally planned to do… start in St Jean and walk to the sea. So on the 19th September 2016 (approx!) we’ll once again drive down to the French Pyrenees and I’ll start following those yellow arrows again.
As much as I wish Gerry could walk with me his work commitements mean that it’s impossible but he can join me for the last week… so he’s going to meet me again in Santiago and walk with me to Muxia and Finisterre. The other amazing news is that Maggie may also be joining me; the camino is addictive and once you’ve walked you should prepare to walk again!
I’m back looking at gear… which rainwear and which shoes? I have a few months to decide!
