A few weeks ago, when it was still very sunny and still very warm, my walking buddies suggested a last minute autumn camino. “Yeah” I said! “Count me in!”
Since then I attempted and failed the Rota Vicentina in southern Portugal and I’ve made a flying (singing) visit down to sunny Marbella in Spain; both of which are further south than SW France and Porto. I packed my rucksack today and I realised that I have no idea what the weather will be like or what I should take.
I’ve erred on the side of caution and put in two long sleeve tops, alongside two t-shirts. I only have one pair of skins now after shredding mine in Portugal but I’ve also included a pair of capri craghoppers (ever hopeful for some sun) and my usual Craghopper trousers. I’ve also added hat, scarf and gloves… just in case!
Me knee is all but healed after my Vicentina fall and I reckon I’m good to go… oooh! the thrill of walking another camino never leaves me!Β See you all in sunny Porto!
Buen Camino! Can’t wait to read about your adventures! π
