The locals call us swallows. We fly down south in winter and then head north again in spring; I think it’s a fair description. As with other years we’ve spent the last few weeks enjoying the glorious winter sun of southern Spain. We’re in Axarquia, east of Malaga, in the hills above Frigiliana.

great memories of southern Spain and wonderful photos — met your house sitters and introduced them to the framing club and the Maire – phtography and printing/framing seemed to be just up his street.
will consider carefully 2020 and see if we both can manage your September trip for our birthdays 18th and 30th respectively …… celebrated my 50th on my 2nd camino outing so I’m a late starter as a pilgrim. a bientot bill and maria

Colleen, what a gorgeous review of your stay and the walk to Acebuchal. I love the South of Spain but not sure when I’ll be back. As always, I’m waiting for the time when we can meet up on a camino or in a wee village ! This looks like the perfect spot. Maybe same time next year!
